Crime and Trauma Scene Cleaning
As many of you are aware, four children and four adults were slain by a single gunman in Appomattox County recently. A number of people have asked how to help, so we compiled the following information:
- The Morgan Dobyns family requests that donations be made to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Fund, P.O. Box 26927, Richmond, VA 23261.
- The Sipe family requests that contributions to the Sipe Family Memorial Fund be made by sending a check made out to Tharp Funeral Home to P.O. Box 15008, Lynchburg, VA 24502. The family will designate charities to receive the money at a later date.
- The Quarles family requests that contributions to the Canard, Pritchard and Quarles Family Memorial Fund be made by sending a check made out to Tharp Funeral Home to P.O. Box 15008, Lynchburg, VA 24502. Money in the fund will be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and to surviving family members and other charities.

We're Here to Help
In the aftermath of an unexpected death or serious injury, the last thing a family or business owner should have to think about is cleaning. But they do have to think about it, and that's why we exist-to offer a calm, competent hand to people surviving some of the most horrific events imaginable.
While many cleaning companies are willing to tackle this type of work, few carry complete decontamination credentials. This training is critical, as the risk of infection and disease posed by blood, tissue, animal or human remains is high. Our certification through Amdecon-the nation's leading training program for crime scene cleanup-ensures we have the technical expertise to eliminate dangerous contaminants. In many cases, we restore buildings and vehicles to cleaner condition than before the trauma occurred. All services comply with OSHA and federal health and safety codes. Our company is fully insured and bonded.
These highly-specialized services are available to anyone tasked with restoring property following traumatic events. Postmortem and post-trauma cleanup should never be handled by an untrained or unlicensed person or company.
Our Goals
- Remove blood and blood-borne pathogens
- Clean up body fluids and human
waste where injury, illness or death have occurred - Destroy infectious viruses such as AIDS/HIV,
